MaxximaStyle offers a wide range of LED Lighting covering the transportation, interior, industrial, emergency and personal lighting markets.

LED lamps are revolutionizing the lighting market and applications since they emit a very intense glow which is brighter than incandescent lighting.

They consume one-tenth the power consumption of conventional bulbs and due to their long lifetime, rated at 100,000 hours, LED lamps severely cut down on bulb replacement activity resulting in huge power and labor savings.

LEDs also provide an added benefit of emitting negligible amounts of heat cutting down on expensive heat shield installations and in the case of interior lighting air conditioning requirements. The ubiquitous incandescent light bulb is on its way to becoming a relic as the gas lanterns it replaced more than a century ago.

LEDs Can Lower Light Energy Usage by 30%

|
Ruediger Mueller, CEO of Osram Opto Semiconductors GmbH, said at the Electronica 2008 exhibition, that LED technology has the potential to lower light energy usage by 30 percent. This means total energy use could be slashed by 50 percent. He estimated that 19 percent of global electricity is used for lightning. The LED technology can help reduce light energy consumption by 30 percent, and by adding some intelligence, it goes to 50 percent.

Mueller noted overall LED efficiency has improved by a factor of 50 percent.

LED Retrofits for Fluorescent and CFL Lighting

|
Fluorescent lighting has been in use for over 50 years in the workplace, our homes, the bank, and virtually everywhere we shop. The reason fluorescent lighting is so popular is that it uses one-fourth the energy that incandescent lighting does. Another reason for their popularity is that standard fluorescent lamps do not get hot like incandescent or quartz halogen lamps.

Light Emitting Designs, produces environmental lighting solutions that include LED retrofits for both fluorescent and CFL bulbs.

Linear LED Fixtures from Light Emitting Designs

|
The Retrofit Revolution
"We see a growing momentum toward responsible energy usage--we like to call it the 'Retrofit Revolution,'" said LED-LLC CEO, Tim Taylor. "When you look at true ROI, upfront costs for LED fixtures are easily displaced by savings in long term expense, and our customers understand that. The linear series offers a nice complement to the rest of our product line."

Greener Lighting Solutions
All of LED-LLC's LED fixtures offer a green solution for new installations, and an environmentally responsible replacement for existing fluorescents. LEDs last longer, burn cooler, and deliver savings on labor, as well as energy, over time This makes a cost effective solution for any 24/7 application, and especially industrial and commercial installations that pay high prices for labor to replace bulbs that burn out frequently and leave bad impressions when not replaced in a timely manner.

Light Emitting Designs (www.led-llc.com), an innovator in LED lighting solutions for the commercial/industrial market, announces three new series of 12v LED linear fixtures now shipping through electrical distribution.

The R, S and SC series from LED-LLC include the three key features savvy lighting specialists now expect:

1) lumens above 150 per each 12" run.

2) CRI of 75 or above.

3) Three year warranty.

All lights are dimmable on the 12v side.

Available in lengths from 12 to 60 inches, in Day Light or Soft White, from 4 to 16 watts, applications include task lighting, showcase lighting, undercabinet lighting, refrigerator/freezer lighting, and illuminating architectural features.

  • "S" (Square) Series: Square (S) Extruded White Powder Coat Aluminum Housing
  • "R" (Round) Series: Round (R) Extruded Brushed Aluminum Housing Rotatable to 3600
  • "SC" (Showcase) Series: Show Case (SC) Extruded Brushed Aluminum Housing Rotatable to 3600
  • Also available: Power Supplies and Link Cables

LED maker Cree, Inc., Durham, NC, has made the XLamp MC-E LED commercial available.

Cree says that the MC-E is the highest-lumen LED in the award-winning XLamp family. The multi-chip XLamp MC-E has the same 7mm x 9mm footprint as Cree's existing XLamp XR family LEDs. However, the company says that it provides four times the light output of the existing XR-E. Cree boasts that this is the highest lumen output commercially available for a package of its size.

Cree says the MC-E is designed to enable new applications and reductions in overall system cost to other LED packages.

At 9.8W, the XLamp MC-E LED provides up to 790 lumens at 6000K (80.61 lumens/W) and up to 605 lumens at 3000K (61.73 lumens/W).

The CRI for cool white and neutral white (3,700 K - 10,000 K CCT) is 75.

CRI for warm white (2,600 K - 3,700 K CCT) is 80.

Each LED chip in the four-chip package is individually addressable.

Efficiency Benefits Up to 82% in Energy Savings!

According to Flex Your Power, documented studies have proven the energy savings potential of LEDs:

  • Replacing a red incandescent traffic signal head with a red LED unit cuts energy use by an estimated 82 to 93%. The use of LED traffic signals in cities can save 1 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of energy and nearly $70,000 a year for every 100 signaled intersections replaced. The payback period is approximately two-and-a-half to three years through energy savings alone.

  • There are 100 million exit signs in the United States containing incandescent lamps that consume a total of 20 billion kWh of electricity per year. LED lighting could save approximately three-quarters of this energy. By purchasing 1,000 exit signs for an initial investment of $30,000, a state government could save a net $455,562 over the products’ lifetime. The new signs would pay for themselves in six months.

  • LEDs can replace neon, offering an 80% electricity efficiency improvement.

The benefits of LED lighting technology go far beyond reducing electricity consumption.

Even with a higher initial investment, dollar savings and quality improvements significantly outweigh costs.

LED technology's numerous benefits also include:

  • Long life and reduced maintenance cost
  • High quality light output
  • Increased safety as a result of LED's lower voltage
  • Smaller, flexible light fixtures
  • Increased durability (no filament to break)
  • Lower lighting infrastructure load and cost for expansion

Applications for LED Lighting

|

Current market-ready or near market-ready uses of LED lighting include:

Commercial Signage: Commercial signage often operates 12 to 24 hours per day, consuming about 2% of the total electricity in the United States. Fluorescent signs currently account for about 48% of this market, with neon signs holding about 41%, and the remainder of the market dominated by incandescent products.

Institutional, Industrial and Commercial Lighting: LED products can have a significant impact on energy use in airport, ports and roadway lighting, where conventional fluorescent- and incandescent-lit signage is heavily used.

Retail Lighting: LEDs offer unprecedented flexibility in colors and configurations to lighting designers in creating displays and “moods” in retail settings.
